Suvida Healthcare Notifies Patients of a Privacy Incident
Suvida Healthcare, LLC is notifying patients of a recent incident involving unauthorized access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This notice is provided in accordance with applicable federal and state law, including HIPAA.
What Happened. On June 16, 2026, an email account was compromised as a result of an external phishing attack. The incident was identified on June 17, 2026, and an investigation was promptly initiated. The investigation confirmed that unauthorized access was limited to one account for a brief timeframe and that no information was downloaded.
Information Involved. The information potentially involved includes name, phone number, date of birth, address, and clinical information.
What We Are Doing. Upon discovery, Suvida Healthcare took immediate steps to investigate the incident, mitigate potential harm, and prevent recurrence — including a root-cause analysis, corrective actions, enhanced workforce training, and strengthened administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We have notified the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights and the Texas Attorney General as required by law.
What Affected Patients Can Do. Affected patients have been notified directly and are encouraged to review their account statements, explanation of benefits statements, and credit reports for any unauthorized activity, and to report suspicious activity to the appropriate financial institution or law enforcement agency. Suvida Healthcare is offering one year of complimentary credit monitoring to affected patients. Enrollment details are included in individual notification letters.
