Public Hearing Notice for Potential Annexation
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Parker, Texas, will conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed annexation of certain territory generally consisting of portions of Lewis Lane previously disannexed by the City of Lucas, Texas.
The territory proposed for annexation consists of approximately 7.490 acres of land in two separate parcels located along Lewis Lane in Collin County, Texas. The territory was previously disannexed by the City of Lucas pursuant to Ordinance No. 2026-06-01048 and is more particularly described in Exhibit A to that ordinance, recorded in the Official Public Records of Collin County, Texas as Instrument No. 2026000096894. Copies of the legal descriptions and exhibits are available for public inspection at Parker City Hall during regular business hours.
The proposed annexation is part of a coordinated municipal boundary adjustment between the City of Parker and the City of Lucas intended to promote efficient municipal governance, roadway maintenance responsibilities, public safety services, and orderly administration of municipal boundaries. This hearing is being conducted pursuant to Chapter 43, Texas Local Government Code.
The Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Parker on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Municipal Complex, 5700 E. Parker Road, Parker, Texas 75002. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to appear and be heard concerning the proposed annexation. Following the public hearing, the City Council may consider and take action on an ordinance annexing the territory described herein into the corporate limits of the City of Parker.
