NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Parker, Texas, will conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed disannexation of certain territory generally consisting of approximately 2.12 acres in two tracts of land located on the south side of Lucas Road, currently located within the corporate limits of the City of Parker, Collin County, Texas, and is more particularly described in the legal descriptions and exhibits available for public inspection at Parker City Hall during regular business hours. The proposed disannexation is intended to allow the City of Lucas to annex the territory as part of a coordinated municipal boundary adjustment between the City of Parker and the City of Lucas. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Chapter 43, Texas Local Government Code
The proposed disannexation is being considered in connection with the related annexation by the City of Parker of certain portions of Lewis Lane previously disannexed by the City of Lucas. The purpose of the coordinated boundary adjustment is to promote efficient municipal governance, roadway maintenance, public safety services, and orderly administration of municipal boundaries.
The Public Hearing will be held by and before the City Council at a scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Parker Municipal Complex, 5700 E. Parker Road, Parker, Texas 75002, for all persons interested in the above proposed disannexation. At the public hearing, all interested persons will have an opportunity to appear and be heard concerning the proposed disannexation. Following the public hearing, the City Council may consider and take action on an ordinance disannexing the territory described herein from the corporate limits of the City of Parker.
