NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX RATE
The Village of Briarcliff will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the 2026 tax year on August 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Briarcliff Village hall, 302 Sleat Drive, Briarcliff, Texas. The proposed tax rate is $0.084510 per $100 valuation. This rate does not exceed the no-new-revenue tax rate of $0.084510 per $100 valuation. The proposed tax rate is not greater than the no-new-revenue tax rate. This means the Village of Briarcliff is not proposing to increase property taxes for the 2026 tax year. The no-new-revenue tax rate is the rate that would generate the same amount of property tax revenue as last year from properties taxed in both years. Residents of the Village of Briarcliff are encouraged to attend the public hearing and provide input regarding the proposed tax rate. The Hays County Engineer's Office, in accordance with
National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1),
hereby gives notice of the Hays County's intent to revise
the flood hazard information, generally located between
Windy Hill Road and Quail Cove. Specifically, the flood
hazard information shall be revised along Porter Creek
Branch, from a point approximately 220 feet upstream
of Quail Cove to a point approximately 300 feet
upstream of Windy Hill Road. As a result of the revision,
the 1% annual chance watersurface elevations shall be
established, and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall
widen and narrow within the area of revision. Maps and
detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at Hays
County at 2171 Yarrington Road, Suite 100, Kyle, TX 78640.
