NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FULL PURPOSE ANNEXATION INTO AUSTIN
A public hearing will be held by the City Council of Austin, Texas, for the Dog's Head annexation area. At the hearing, City Council will hear and consider comments on issues related to the full purpose annexation of land in Travis County.
Hearing date and location: May 21, 2026, meeting convenes at 10:00 AM at Austin City Hall, 301 W. 2nd St., Austin, TX 78701. All speakers must register in advance. Instructions for speaker registration and participation are available at the Austin City Council Meeting Information Center website at https://www.austintexas.gov/council.
Case number C7a-2026-0003, Dog's Head Full Purpose annexation area (approximately 2,614 acres) is in eastern Travis County, located between the Colorado River, US Highway 183, and State Highway 130. The area is currently in Austin's extraterritorial jurisdiction and is adjacent to the City of Austin's current full purpose jurisdiction boundary.

A public meeting is being held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at 3400 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock, TX 78665 to discuss the city's proposed project to expand the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System East Plant to 40 Million Gallons per Day (MGD). The East Plant is located at 3939 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665-9443.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project. The total estimated construction cost of the project is $117,570,000. There is no expected water/wastewater/drainage rate increase required to finance this project. An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231. A copy of the Environmental Information Document for the project has been prepared which will be available for public review at 3400 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock, TX 78665 and at www.roundrocktexas.gov for 30 days following the date of this notice.
