NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FULL PURPOSE ANNEXATION INTO AUSTIN
A public hearing will be held by the City Council of Austin, Texas, for the Ross Road annexation area. The proposed annexation is limited solely to the roadway and its associated right-of-way and does not include or affect any adjacent or nearby properties. Additionally, the proposed annexation will not expand Austin's extraterritorial jurisdiction. At the hearing, City Council will hear and consider comments on issues related to the full purpose annexation of land in Travis County.
Hearing date and location: February 26, 2026, meeting convenes at 10:00 AM at 301 W. 2nd St., Austin, TX 78701. All speakers must register in advance. Case number C7a-2026-0001, Ross Road Full Purpose annexation area (approximately 9.776 acres) is located in Travis County at the intersection of State Highway 71 East to approximately 381.35 feet south of Saint Thomas Drive and includes 107 feet of right-of-way width. The area is currently in Austin's extraterritorial jurisdiction and is adjacent to the City of Austin's current full purpose jurisdiction boundary.
