CITY OF DALLAS ORDINANCES
The Dallas city council passed the following ordinances at a meeting of the city council on April 8 2026. This ordinance becomes effective with this publication in accordance with the city charter.
Ordinance No. 33376
An ordinance amending the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas by permitting the following property, which is presently zoned as a Subarea 11 within Planned Development District 298 (Bryan Area Special Purpose District) with a D-1 Liquor Control Overlay: BEING a tract of land in City Block 7/767; fronting approximately 178.26 feet along the southeast line of Swiss Avenue northeast of Haskell Avenue; and containing approximately 1.02 acres, to be used under Specific Permit No. 2628 for the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a general merchandise or food store greater than 3,500 square feet; providing that this specific use permit shall be granted subject to certain conditions; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Ordinance No. 33377
An ordinance amending the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas by permitting the following property, which is presently zoned as a CR Community Retail District with a D-1 Liquor Control Overlay: BEING Lots 1 and 2 in City Block 5804; fronting approximately 105 feet along the southwest line of Lawnview Avenue; fronting approximately 117 feet along the southeast line of Forney Road; and containing approximately 0.41 acre, to be used under Specific Use Permit No. 2625 for the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a general merchandise or food store 3,500 square feet or less; providing that this specific use permit shall be granted subject to certain conditions; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Ordinance No. 33378
An ordinance amending the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas by permitting the following property, which is presently zoned as Planned Development District No. 206: BEING Lots 3 and 4 in City Block A/7289; fronting approximately 700.01 feet along the east line of Stone Canyon Road; fronting approximately 393.85 feet along the northwest line of Meadow Road; and containing approximately 5.39 acres, to be used under Specific Use Permit No. 2629 for a private recreation center, club, or area; providing that this specific use permit shall be granted subject to certain conditions; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 32946, passed by the Dallas City Council on December 11, 2024, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas, and granted Specific Use Permit No. 2569 for a bar, lounge, or tavern and inside commercial amusement limited to a live music venue; amending the conditions in Section 2 of that ordinance; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 29848, passed by the Dallas City Council on September 9, 2015, as amended by Ordinance No. 30730, passed by the Dallas City Council on December 13, 2017, as amended by Ordinance No. 31190, passed by the Dallas City Council on April 24, 2019, as amended by Ordinance No. 31928, passed by the Dallas City Council on June 23, 2021, as amended by Ordinance No. 32635, passed by the Dallas City Council on January 10, 2024, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas, and granted Specific Use Permit No. 2155 for a recycling buy-back center for the collection of household and industrial metals; amending the conditions in Section 2 of that ordinance; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Ordinance No. 33381
An ordinance amending Article 385, "PD 385," of Chapter 51P, "Dallas Development Code: Planned Development District Regulations," of the Dallas City Code; amending the exhibits, main uses permitted, landscaping, traffic management plan, traffic circulation improvements, flood plain, playing fields, and additional requirements for a competitive athletic field in Section 51P-385.104, 51P-385.107, 51P-385.112, 51P-385.113, 51P-385.114, 51P-385.116, 51P-385.117, and 51P-385.118 of Article 385; providing a new development plan and landscape plan; deleting Exhibit 385C, "competitive athletic field landscape plan"; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Ordinance No. 33382
An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 29011, passed by the Dallas City Council on May 22, 2013, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas by granting Specific Use Permit No. 2024 for an illuminated competitive athletic field on the following property: BEING Lot 1A in City Block B/5544; located at the southwest corner of Walnut Hill Lane and Inwood Road; and containing approximately 25.396 acres; providing a saving clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 29975, passed by the Dallas City Council on January 13, 2016, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas, and granted Specific Use Permit No. 2173 for a winery and tasting room; amending the conditions in Section 2 of that ordinance; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 32652, passed by the Dallas City Council on January 24, 2024, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas, and granted Specific Use Permit No. 2513 for the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a restaurant without drive-in or drive-through service; providing a new site plan; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 32730, passed by the Dallas City Council on May 8, 2024, as amended by Ordinance No. 33184, passed by the Dallas City Council on August 13, 2025, which amended the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas, and granted Specific Use Permit No. 2529 for an alcoholic beverage establishment limited to a bar, lounge, or tavern; amending the conditions in Section 2 of that ordinance; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending the zoning ordinances of the City of Dallas by permitting the following property, which is presently zoned as Tract A within Planned Development District No. 269 (Deep Ellum/Near East Side District): BEING Lot 38 in City Block C/483; fronting approximately 49.3 feet along the northwest line of Elm Street; fronting approximately 48.9 feet along the southeast line of July Alley; fronting approximately 97.9 feet along the west line of Crowdus Street; and containing approximately 0.11 acre, to be used under Specific Use Permit No. 2631 for a bar, lounge, or tavern; providing that this specific use permit shall be granted subject to certain conditions; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

Ordinance No. 33390
An ordinance changing the zoning classification on the following property: BEING a tract of land in City Block 1/769; fronting approximately 105 feet on the northeast line of Carroll Avenue southeast of Swiss Avenue; and containing approximately 0.36 acre, from a P(A) Parking District to an R-7.5(A) Single Family District; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Ordinance No. 33391
An ordinance changing the zoning classification on the following property: BEING a tract of land in City Block 2/797; fronting approximately 212 feet along the southeast line of Worth Street; fronting approximately 202 feet along the northeast line of Peak Street; and containing approximately 0.92 acre, from an R-7.5(A) Single Family District to Planned Development District No. 1141; amending Chapter 51P, "Dallas Development Code: Planned Development District Regulations," of the Dallas City Code by creating a new Article 1141; establishing use regulations and development standards for this planned development district; providing a penalty not to exceed $2,000; providing a saving clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
