NOTICE OF LIQUIDATION
OF NEW CENTURY INSURANCE COMPANY
On September 3, 2025, the 126th Judicial District Court of Travis County, Texas, entered an Agreed Order Appointing Liquidator, Permanent Injunction and Notice of Automatic Stay ("Order") for New Century Insurance Company ("New Century") and placed the company into liquidation pursuant to Chapter 443 of the Texas Insurance Code.
All insurance policies issued by New Century were cancelled at 11:59 p.m. on October 3, 2025, unless they expired earlier by their own terms or were replaced by other coverage.
Pursuant to Tex. Ins. Code § 443.008 and the Order, a stay and injunction are in effect. This stay prohibits all persons, including policyholders, insureds, creditors, and other parties, from commencing or continuing any judicial, administrative, or other action against New Century or its property, and from obtaining preferences, judgments, or attachments against the company or its assets, except as permitted by the Receivership Court.
Persons or entities with claims against New Century must file a Proof of Claim in the form and manner prescribed by the Liquidator. A final claims filing deadline will be set by subsequent order of the Receivership Court. Claims not filed by the deadline may be barred.
Coverage under applicable state insurance guaranty associations may be available for certain claims, subject to statutory limitations and conditions.
