TO: All taxpayers, property owners and residents of the Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District, or persons who have or claim a right, title or interest in any property or money to be affected by the public security authorization or the issuance of the public securities, Defendant(s) in a hereinafter styled and numbered cause.
You (and each of you) have been sued. You may employ an attorney to represent your interests in this cause. You may become a named party to the proceedings by pleading to the petition on or before the trial of this matter, or appear for trial before the Judge of the assigned Judicial District Court of Travis County, Texas, at the Travis County Civil and Family Courts Facility in Austin, Texas on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the Monday next following the expiration of twenty (20) days, from the date of issuance hereof, or thereafter by intervention or leave of Court, and answer the Plaintiff's Original Petition for Declaratory Judgment, filed by Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District, on the 10th day of November, 2025, in the cause numbered D-1-GN-25-009959, and styled, Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District vs. Ken Paxton, Attorney General of the State of Texas, et al., and show cause why the Plaintiff's Original Petition for Declaratory Judgment should not be granted and the public securities or the public security authorization validated and confirmed. The nature of said suit is as follows: declaratory judgment action seeking validation of the proposed issuance of the "Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District Unlimited Tax Road Bonds, Series 2025" in aggregate principal amount of $1,000,000 for the purpose of financing the purchase, construction or acquisition of a road system and storm drainage system for the District, which are more fully set forth in Plaintiff's Original Petition for Declaratory Judgment. This notice constitutes and is intended as a substantial copy of the Court's Order and Notice of Hearing involving Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District, signed on November 14, 2025, in the above-numbered cause, which is on file in the Travis County District Court Clerk's office and which reference is made herein for all intents and purposes.
