CITY OF LAKEWAY INVITATION FOR BIDS NO. 26-1006 The City of Lakeway, Texas is requesting sealed written Bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals, and for performing all Work required for the FY2026 Bee Creek Road Improvements project, to include, in part: Milling of asphalt pavement, spoils removal/disposal, patch repair, level up, placement of asphalt, traffic control, and other incidental items. Sealed Bids will be received at the offices of the City of Lakeway, City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road, Lakeway, TX 78734 until 2:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, May 1, 2026, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the closing time will not be accepted for consideration and will be returned unopened. A pre-bid meeting will not be hosted for this solicitation. Bid documents may be obtained free of charge at the City of Lakeway, 1102 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway, TX 78734 or through the City's website at www.lakeway-tx.gov/bids. Contractor awarded the project shall be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The bonds shall be issued by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by City of Lakeway pursuant to applicable law. A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of two (2) years from the date of the letter of final conditional acceptance from the City of Lakeway. Contract Time is of the essence and all Base Bid Work shall be completed within thirty (30) Calendar Days after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. Liquidated damages are $1,000 per Calendar Day for failure to complete the work within the allotted time.
