NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Advertisement for Bids for Water System Improvements 16" pipeline along railroad, existing 5" pipeline replacement, Maxwell Special Utility District.
Maxwell Special Utility District will receive sealed bids until 11:00 A.M. on February 17, 2026, at Maxwell Special Utility District Office, 9270 Highway 142, Maxwell, Texas 78656, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Copies of plans and specifications may be examined without charge at the office of Maxwell Special Utility District Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am-3pm. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a copy fee of $ 100.00 for each set. Emailed copies can be obtained for free by emailing the Engineer at rg@gallegoseng.com or found on CIV CAST.
Bids must be submitted on the proposal form furnished by the Engineer. The envelope containing any proposal shall be endorsed "Bid for Water System Improvements 16" Pipeline along Railroad, Existing 5" Pipeline Replacement for Maxwell Special Utility District". Each bid shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond.
Maxwell Special Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award the contract in what it deems its best interest and to waive any informality or technicality in the proposal, and agrees to take action within sixty (60) days.
