Sealed proposals in response to this RFP will be received through the City's e-procurement portal at https://schertz.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities until 13, 2024 at 3:00PM. Submissions by other methods will not be accepted. All Proposals must be in the City of Schertz's possession on or before the scheduled date and time (no late RFP will be accepted). Proposals will be presented publicly through a virtual meeting which can be found in section 2.1.

The City of Schertz reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all responses, waive any or all formalities or technicalities, accept the response or portions of the response determined to be the best value and most advantageous to the City, and hold the responses for a period of 90 days without acting. The City of Schertz reserves the right to accept responses from more than one firm determined to be the best option for the City. Respondents are required to hold their responses firm for the same period.

BID NOTICE
This Request for Proposal ("RFP") is soliciting contractors for the relocation and installation of a 300KW Caterpillar generator to Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority's Seguin Office. This will encompass all necessary construction and electrical activities to ensure the generator is fully operational. Construction tasks include, but not limited to, preparing the generator's foundation, constructing a masonry wall, manufacturing and installing a new transfer switch, implementing equipment lighting, and establishing a test well with grounding rods. Furthermore, a new duct bank and conduit will be installed, running from the generator site to the main panel and office building. An overview of the electrical work will include but not limited to retrofitting the main panel, connecting the generator, installing all required feeders and grounding, and permanently disconnecting the existing 60 KW generator.
Proposals may be submitted until Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 2:00 PM Central Time and shortly thereafter will be opened publicly and read aloud. Proposal packets and information may be found at www.civcastusa.com.
