NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET &
COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAM
The City Council of the City of Plano will hold a Public Hearing on the Recommended Budget and Proposed Community Investment Program (CIP) for Fiscal Year 2026-27 on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Senator Florence Shapiro Council Chambers at the Plano Municipal Center, 1520 K Ave, Plano, TX 75074 and via videoconference.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item or the amount of any item contained in the Recommended Budget or Proposed CIP by participating in person or via broadcast by webinar. To speak at the meeting, register at Plano.gov/SpeakerRegistration. Online registration opens at 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the meeting and closes at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. ONSITE REGISTRATION IS NOT AVAILABLE. The City Council agenda will be available on August 4, 2025, after 5:00 p.m. at the following link: https://www.plano.gov/1444/City-Council-Agendas.
Emails regarding the item may be submitted to councilcomments@plano.gov. The meeting will be live streamed on Plano's website at www.planotv.org, YouTube.com/cityofplanotexas and Facebook.com/cityofplanotx for those wanting to watch the meeting but not address the Council.
Copies of the Recommended Budget and Proposed CIP are available for public inspection at each of the City's libraries and on the City's Internet site: www.plano.gov.
"This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $7,770,264 or 2.75% and of that amount $2,859,458 is tax revenue from new property added to the tax roll this year."
