Project Descriptions:
This bid opportunity combines two projects into a single joint bid. All relevant civil AND landscaping specifications for the entirety of the work are fully integrated into the Training Facility drawings.
Wellness Center
The existing pre-engineered metal building will be remodeled for the use of a Wellness Center. The Wellness Center is located at 4800 Doss Road, Austin TX 78734. The existing building is 2,400 square feet and will have a workout room, two locker rooms, four restrooms with showers, electrical room and janitor room. A small mezzanine will be included for repelling training. The roof and exterior of the building will be re-sheeted and re-roofed.
Training Facility
The existing pre-engineered metal building will be remodeled with an addition for the use as a Training Facility. The Training Facility is located at 4800 Doss Road, Austin TX 78734. The existing building is 7,000 square feet with a 1,050 square foot addition, for a total of 8,050 sf. It will contain offices, conference room, SCBA room, gear laundry and classroom that can be divided into three independent classrooms. The roof and exterior of the building will be re-sheeted and re-roofed. One generator to feed both buildings will be added to the site. Additional site lighting and power to be provided for the existing parking structure and site for future training activities.
Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of Surety Bond in the amount of 5%.

SCOPE OF WORK: Travis County WCID No. 18 will accept sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and testing necessary, to remove and replace the existing two clarifier drives at the Travis County WCID No. 18 Water Treatment Plant. The treatment plant, located at 9702 Bal Harbor Road, Austin, Texas, is owned by WCID No. 18 and is operated by Crossroads Utility Services.
RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids in envelopes are due at the Office of the Engineer: Burgess & Niple, Inc. located at 235 Ledge Stone Drive, Austin, Texas 78737, (512) 432-1000 no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at which time the bids for the Project Contract will be opened and read aloud. The OWNER reserves the right to waive all informalities and irregularities, and determine which Bids are most advantageous to the Project, and to award the Contract on this basis.

No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids (including without limitation, any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids) and to waive all defects and irregularities in the bids and the bidding process, except the time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owner's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project in accordance with Texas Water Code Section 49.273(c). Prevailing Wage Rates, in accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 2258 are applicable to the Project.
