Notice of Public Hearing
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro) will conduct a public hearing to take testimony pursuant to its proposal to increase fares, expand the Reduced Fare Program, retire the Equifare Program and retire Ticket Vending Machines at bus transfer locations. The public hearing will be held in the Rosa Parks boardroom at CapMetro's Administrative Building located at 2910 E. 5th Street. The public is encouraged to attend.
Participation is available in person or virtually, provided you register in advance. Speakers may sign up by emailing boardofdirectors@capmetro.org or calling (512) 369-6040 and leaving their name and phone number. The deadline to register for virtual participation is 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Instructions on how to participate virtually will be sent via email after 9:00 a.m. on that day. For in-person participation, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the hearing to sign up to speak.
