announces that the records of those who have. not been in the program for five (5) school years are scheduled to be de stroyed. Records to be destroyed are no longer needed. The following year (2020- 2021) will be destroyed effective July 2026. Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD will keep in their files a permanent record of every student's name, address, grades, attendance record, classes attend· ed grade level completed and immunization records. Persons needing more information concerning the records' destruction, please contact Suanne Chang-Ponce, Director of the Department of Special Education, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD at (210) 945-6426. This record destruction is in accordance with Public Iaw IDEA 300.573, Section 12la573.

PURPOSE:This notice is to inform the above persons of their rights under the Family Education· al Rights and Privacy Act.
RIGHTS:A parent of an eligible special education student may inspect any official record about the student. An appointment should be made to schedule an inspection. Only parents, student; and authorized persons may review student records. This district wil keep a list of occasions when persons other than those listed above look at the records.
